   As a technology leader, when I look to learn new technologies and search for a basic tutorial on any technology, usually there is a basic Hello World program. I am sure most of the software developers face the same situation as me. It is not possible to use a Hello World program in our work environments. Hence I came up with this blog to write applications/programs that can be used as a base to build upon and start using them in our work environments.

About Me

   I am a Technology Leader with more than 13 Years experience in software project management and web development with primary focus on Java and related technologies. I have worked in all kinds of organisations in my career; product based, startups and service based. I have worked on small and large mission critical applications in multiple domains. I look up to technology as an enabler to achieve functionalities that can be applied in all forms of life today.

Dropwizard MySQL Integration Tutorial Introduction         Dropwizard is one of the most popular and most used frameworks for building microservices. I am assuming that you have a Basic Knowledge of Dropwizard and have a Basic Dropwizard Application running in your machine. In this tutorial, we will be integrating a Dropwizard Application with MySQL Database, which is a relational database, to perform CRUD operations. Asynchronous   Processing (@Async) in Spring Boot Introduction       I am assuming that you have a Basic Knowledge of Spring Boot and have a Basic Spring Boot Application running in your machine. If not, please check my blog on Basic Spring Boot Application by going to the link:  Spring Boot Tutorial In this tutorial, we will be creating a Spring Boot Application which has the ability to perform Asynchronous Processing Requirements to Run the Application: Java Maven IDE of your choice Once you have a Basic Spring Boot Application, here are the additional steps required to add  the ability to perform Asynchronous Processing. Step 1: Add  @EnableAsync annotation and Add TaskExecutor Bean to Application Class      @EnableAsync annotation turns on Spring’s ability to run @Async methods in a background thread pool. This class customizes the used TaskExecutor. Here I am limiting the number of concurrent threads to 3 and the size of the queue to 600. Here is the code:
